NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 2022 – 4:00 PM SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIONBUILDING

EINSTEIN LAB and SCHOOL BOARD ROOM

 The School Board of the City of Virginia Beach willhold a meeting on

  Tuesday,June 28, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

 The Administrative, Informal, and Workshop sessionwill begin at

4:00 p.m. in the Einstein Lab.

 The Formal Meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the SchoolBoard Room.

Public seatingwill be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Members of thepublic will also be able to observe the School Board Meeting throughlivestreaming on www.vbschools.com, broadcast on VBTV Channel 47, and on Zoom throughthe link below:

1.  Workshop or Informal Session typically begins at 4:00 p.m. but is subject to change. 

2.  Formal Meeting Call to Order for regular School Board Meetings is generally at 6:00 p.m. or soon thereafter. 

3.  Prior to each regular School Board Meeting, the proposed agenda and supporting documents are posted to the VBSchools website at the following site: https://www2.vbschools.com/schoolboard/agenda.pdf

The proposed agenda and supporting documents may also be inspected during working hours in the Office of the School Board Clerk located in the School Administration Building. Proposed agenda materials for special, emergency, or continued meetings will be made available to the public when made available to the School Board Members. Proposed agenda items are subject to adoption by the School Board and may be changed at any time by the School Board up until the end of the meeting. 

4.  Regular School Board Meetings are generally conducted in the School Administration Building located at 2512 George Mason Drive, Municipal Center, Building 6, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456.  The School Board reserves the right to hold School Board Meetings in other locations upon notice to the public of the location of such meeting. 

5.  Regular School Board meetings are generally available for live broadcast viewing through this link https://www.vbschools.com/about_us/our_leadership/school_board/meetings/watch_live. The School Board reserves the right not to broadcast or record School Board meetings. 

6.  Members of the public may observe open session portions of School Board Meetings in person.  Public seating may be limited by the capacity of the location where the meeting is held.  Under emergency circumstances, the School Board may prohibit public in person observation of School Board Meetings but will provide public access through available broadcast means or by recording meetings that will be made available to the public.
